As one of the largest utilities in North America, Southern California Edison (SCE) developed a “Circuit of the Future” to showcase the most innovative and reliable grid technology.

PROBLEM

SCE needed a utility pole with increased reliability to carry the advanced grid system, as well as efficiencies in transportation and installation to reduce customer outage time. The reduction of ongoing maintenance was also a key objective.
